Two Detentions in the Aftermath of Heathrow Irritant Spray Incident

This incident caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
