I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
